Indian Air Force Meteorology Branch Recruitment Notification 2015: Indian Air Force Meteorology Branch has issued the recruitment notification for the recruitment of various vacant posts and these vacancies are present in various designations so in order to fill up all these vacancies with eligible and appropriate candidates it has issued the recruitment notification and welcoming applications from all interested aspirants those who have interest to join in the Indian Air force are advised to apply for these vacancies through offline where candidates have to send the application forms in a prescribed format attach all necessary certificates to the below mentioned address on or before the last date of 25th July 2015 such as candidates can submit the application from 27th June 2015 to 25th July 2015 where candidates can find the official notification at www.davp.nic.in and other important details like age limit, educational qualification, selection process, application fee, application process and important dates are given below.

Indian Air Force Meteorology Branch:

(a) No. 199/16G/PC/M (Permanent Commission for men candidate)
(b) No. 199/16G/SSC/M (Short Service Commission for men candidate)
(c) No. 199/16G/SSC/W (Short Service Commission for women candidate)

Age limit: Applicant’s age should be between 20 years to 26 years as on the last date of 1st July 2015 and age relaxation would be applicable to all reserved category candidates.

Pay scale: selected candidates would be given a salary of Rs.15, 600 to 39,100 per month along with Grade Pay.

Educational Qualifications: candidate must have post graduate degree in any Science stream / Statistics / Mathematics / Geography / Environmental Science / Computer Applications / Applied Physics / Oceanography / Agricultural Meteorology / Geo-physics / Meteorology / Ecology & Environment / Environmental Biology with at least 50% marks in collective of all papers put together (Provided Math’s and Physics were calculated at graduation level, with at least 55% marks in both.

Physical Standards:
Minimum height: for Men-157.5 Cms, for Women-152 Cms with connected weight. All other health criteria would be considered by the Air Force Medical establishment whose conclusion on the fitness would be final.

Selection Process: Candidates will be short-listed and then they will be called for testing at one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) at Mysore, Dehradun, Gandhinagar, Varanasi or Kancharapara. The testing would consist of two stages as given below.

(a) Stage-I: stage-I test consisting of Intelligence Test along with other tests will be held on the first day. Stage-I Test is basically a screening test and only those who qualify would experience succeeding testing. All applicants would be subjected to document verification to determine their eligibility for the Meteorology Branch. Those applicants who either do not qualify in Stage-I testing or do not meet the requisite eligibility criteria would be sent back on the first day itself.
(b) Stage-II: Stage-II Testing consisting of Psychological Test, Group Tests and Interview will be conducted on subsequent days (Five Days).
